Flip4Mac is a QuickTime component for reading content in proprietary formats from Microsoft. It is now the official solution from abandoning Windows Media Player by Redmond. Flip4Mac WMV is the only way to play Windows Media files on a Mac using Quicktime Player. The files protected by DRM are not supported.

Flip4Mac allows all applications based on QuickTime technology to import clips in WMV and WMA, including Final Cut, iMovie, Cleaner, Squeeze or Compressor, for example.

The performance is much higher than that provided Windows Media Player, but protected content still can not be read!

The videos embedded in Web pages can also beings viewed directly in the browser window or in a new QuickTime.
